Reformed Brazilian Ministry is Bible-believing,Christ-centered Ministry. Our goal is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever. We try to do this through education for all who participate in our bible study to obey all of Scripture, so we can reach people of all nations for Christ. To achieve this goal, we strive to honor God with our worship, fellowship, education and evangelization.

"Reformed" means that we hold to an historic and Protestant understanding of Christianity, as expressed in a comprehensive statement of our beliefs  which can be found in the Westminster Standards . Which consist of the Westminster Confession of Faith and both the Larger Catechism and Shorter Catechism. Please note that we realize that these statements of faith are inferior to the Bible and should be judged by it. However, we do hold that these Westminster Standards are the purest human expression of the doctrine revealed in the Bible. One of the great legacies of the Reformation, is that it brought God's people back to the scriptural principles of the early Church."Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus." 2nd Timothy 1:13.

We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God, that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God made man, crucified as a sacrifice of atonement for the sins of His people, on the third day rose from the dead, and one day will come again with power and great glory.

John Calvin: Bookstore

John Calvin is, arguably, the single most influential Protestant theologian of all time. His efforts to teach the people of Geneva the Bible resulted in two massive works. First, Calvin’s defining, and globally influential, Institutes of the Christian Religion first appeared in 1539, with its massive final edition appearing in 1559. While still a staple in every theological library, the Institutes are also—and increasingly—used as devotional material. Second, Calvin authored commentaries on forty-eight books of the Bible, resulting in a massive source of biblical knowledge and exposition. Scholarship on Calvin continues to grow currently trending toward Calvin's influence on the West, and on those who influenced Calvin's own thought and life. see more

 John Calvin
Father of the Reformed faith

With his brother and sister and two friends, John Calvin fled Catholic France and headed to the free city of Strasbourg. It was the summer of 1536; Calvin had recently converted to the "evangelical" faith and had just published The Institutes of the Christian Religion, which articulated his Protestant views. He was a wanted man.

Christless Christianity

Book Introduction:

Christians have always had their differences, but never in church history have there been so many statistics indicating that many Christians today are practicing what can only be described as "Christless Christianity."

Christless Christianity guides the reader to a greater un-derstanding of a big problem within the American religious setting, namely the creeping fog of countless sermons in churches across the country that focus on moralistic concerns and personal transformation rather than the theology of the cross.

Michael Horton's analysis of the contemporary church points believers back to the power of a gospel that should never be assumed.

The Gospel-Driven Life

The Gospel-Driven Life, sequel to Christless Christianity Available October 2009

Mike Horton's latest message is this, "the only thing that the church can provide that is truly unique is the gospel."

This book serves as a reminder that the gospel is for both Christians and non-Christians. Religious programs can create unique cultural centers, but the gospel is what creates a truly 'cross-cultural' community with a focus on Christ as both the host and the meal that delivers transformation in a world wasting away.

Why is Jesus the only way?  Because Jesus said He was the only way.  "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me," (John 14:6).  Of course, just because someone says he is the only way, doesn't mean he is.  But, this is why we need to look at Jesus' miracles as a proof that He was right about who He said He was.  Jesus walked on water, calmed a storm with a command, raised people from the dead, and rose from the dead Himself.  It is the fact of His incredible deeds. Now, if Joe Schmoe on the street said that he was the only way to God, we'd look at him and say, "Yeah, right."  But, if Joe calmed a storm with a command, raised someone from the dead, walked on water, etc., that would had a lot of credibility to his claim.  After all, he is demonstrating extraordinary abilities consistent with his claim. This is the case with Jesus.  He made extraordinary claims and performed extraordinary deeds.  Therefore, it is logical to conclude that what Jesus said was true -- espcially since He claimed to be God (John 8:24,58; 10:30-33; 5:18). Also, consider that no one else has done what Jesus has done.  No one else has risen from the dead and calmed storms and risen others from the dead and fulfilled numerous prophecies, etc.  Though some may have claimed to been able to do one or two, none have done all the things Christ has done as well as also claim to be divine.  Since Christ has done all of these things and since He claims to be God in flesh, then it is logical to believe what He has said and He is the only way.
